Introducing… The Be Brave Activity Book!

Exciting news- I wrote an exposure-based activity book for kids!

Introducing the Be Brave Activity Book. If you could take all my treatment sessions with anxious kids and magic them into book form… this would be it.

Designed to help little ones face fears in a fun and approachable way, the Be Brave Activity Book is written for kids, but is also intended as a resource for parents, clinicians, educators, and other caring adults looking to help anxious youth build confidence.

Inside you’ll find a QuickStart guide that help kids get to know all the important stuff about capital-W-Worry, as well as by a series of chapters focused on the most common childhood fears, including social anxiety, separation anxiety, school-based fears, perfectionism, contamination, phobias, embarrassment, intrusive thoughts, panic, and uncertainty. Each chapter has a CBT-based introduction to that flavor of anxiety, followed by a series of Dares (exposures!) that will build bravery and confidence in the most fun way possible.

You can learn more and order here :).

DareDecks

Hey you! Yeah you. Know somebody who is afraid sometimes? Who avoids fun stuff because worry convinces them it’s a totally bad idea and will all go terribly horribly wrong? Little fear gremlins pull the fire alarm in their body and get their heart racing, blood pumping, and that little “OH NO” siren wailing? Help is on the way.

I’m working on a resource to help kids and adults alike face their fears and do what matters… introducing the DareDeck.

A DareDeck is a deck of cards designed to help people take manageable steps toward tackling a fear. Each deck is a series of confidence-building Dares tailored to a specific area, such as social situations, school, performance… you name it. Those of us in the fear-shrinking business call these Bravery Challenges, Get-Used-To-It Practice, or Exposure, and they are the active ingredient in the treatment of anxiety.

Amazing, right? You want this right-now-ASAP-absolutely-this-second, right? Hang in there- DareDecks are still in development, but if you are interested in more information or would like to be notified when they are released into The Wild, please fill out the form below.
